help needed misfire on mk1 C5 2.2hdi

Long story short fitted replacement 40k engine from 607 complete with turbo and injectors.

No fault codes but engine rocks as if or misfiring at approx 3100 revs. Leak off test done on injectors and all seem fine any ideas folks?

All air pipes seem to be in the right place, swirl flaps open up at approx 2k revs.
Volvo S80 D5.........
C5 2.2HDi Exclusive 2003 manual (now gone).
2009 Renault Megane, the misses drive.
Had a 1988 BX 19TRS Auto many moons ago.

My first thought would be injectors, or at least one, the leak off test will check if they are badly worn but not that they are opening properly, if you still have the old engine you could swap them, although they are not the easiest to change, the only other fault would be an electronic one, I think you can check the signal with a Lexia but you could check each individual injector with an osciloscope.

I will swap the injectors over tomorrow to my old ones, I have changed one already which came straight out.

Injectors changed and no change still running fault, came out really easy.

Ok still got misfire sort of power loss problem. Was getting particular filter blockage so removed cleaned and forced a few regeneration and fault gone.

Got no fault codes but under hard acceleration the engines holds back on and off. Any ideas of what the fault could be???.

WOW you expecting a lot there are a lot of vacuum pipes and vacuum operated devices on this engine, never mind the mass of sensors, Any one of them could be faulty, You need a proxia/lexia session to read prameters and see whats going on. LOL Sorry. ps have you checked the ""swirl flap actuator"" hate that name its there to create manifold depression to induce egr not to swirl air. Anyway its on the right hand side of the head with a plastic rod that breaks above the thermostat area and if its in the closed position it will starve the engine of air causing lots of problems.

Still no further forward but I did get a "unblock diesel filter" on the display. The filter is new and was full of fuel, I have spare filter housing so will chang it tomorrow and see if any change.
