Berlingo 1.9D 2000 head gasket...!

Post by berlingoman »

I have just found that the head gasket on my Berlingo 1.9D 600 W reg van has blown and is dripping oil and drinking water at an alarming rate. I was just wondering if anyone on here had replaced theirs and if so how long did it take and most importantly do i need any special tools to do it? i have been quoted 400 to get it replaced so im guessing maybe that it could be fairly straight forward?!?!?

If its a 'D' should be non turbo which is easier. Its fairly straightforward but fiddly as access is limited, get yourself a Hains manual - they are not perfect but helpful.
