trip comp control thingy

The button to alter view on comp not working, is there a fuse for this
C5 2.2 hdi 2003, called it oliver reed, drinks like him :(
Good on fuel now, lol.

bill it will be a fault inside the the switch a metal disc that breaks. just repaired the one on mine

A common fault. It's the button on the end of the stalk. Can be repaired but it said to be very fiddly. Button just pops out with a pair of thin probes, but so do the springs and contacts :(

If you supply the last eight digits of your VIN them Malcolm may be able to give more precise information but I am of the mind that the whole of the COM2000 unit has to be replaced as the stalk is an integral part of it.

As oneday says, they are (generally) repairable as long as none of the bits escape.

Only useful function I know of, is turning on/off the automatic headlights, when the key is in the first position.
