Fuel filter, hand pump location C5

Post by Slinnian »

I am trying to drain my fuel filter of water, etc. but can't seem to find the hand pump anywhere!! I have a citroen c5 2.0hdi 2001. It has no horse power when starting off although cruises ok when started, so I suspect the filter may be dirty or need purged. Any suggestions where the hand pump maybe? I have the Haynes book and have followed its recommendations but nothing!! :(

Thanks

Hi oneday, thanks. Not sure, about the rpm as my rev counter isn't working!! I have no real acceleration when overtaking or starting off, but it cruises ok at 50, 60, 70mph for example? I'm only assuming it could be the fuel filter as I had a similar problem before and it was water in the filter!

remove the slack from the cable you will notice the change strait away.

remove air box and inlet hose you will see the throttle position sensor below the engine fuse box pull clip from cable pull slack untill the throttle is level with brake peddle replace clip refit air box and test drive let us know the results it only a 10 minute job
