Xud idle is controlled by a waxstat for fast idle and idle speed is controlled by the pump

I found a thread where someone has used xado in the hydraulic system with positive results:

So he added it to the system then did citroebics? No wonder it felt better. Mine always is after a bout of it!

The other guy seemed to just find it stuck to his LHM filter and used some to lube the struts!!

All these claims are made for MolyD as well. Moly does work, but whether it is needed with modern oil and regular changes is debatable.
You cannot claim back wear on an engine. My C5 has 110k with no history. If PO's did not change oil at specified times, then that is that.
I change mine over regularly, but it cannot claw back any wear. Chance you take with a car at £500.
When younger, we put Wynns in our oil on Mk1 Escorts. It was in a can and was like thick treacle gel

I am copying a post from another thread:

"Our product bonds a measurable layer of ceramic-metal coating to friction parts. Cylinders, cams, cranks, lifters, bearings, etc. any and all friction parts of your engine. Revitalizant (Latin: To bring back to life) actually repairs scratches filling them in with a ceramic coating improving compression, increasing horsepower, reducing oil consumption, improving fuel economy, and reducing toxic emissions. I know the world is full of skeptics however our product has been tested by T.U.V. (a world leader in testing) to truly work. We have been in business for over 25 years and are in more than 50 countries. Unfortunately new to the U.S. and not as well known here as in Europe. Independent oil analysis have shown drastic reduction in wear metals after treating with our Atomic Metal Conditioner "Maximum". Lead & Iron from Engine, and Copper from bearings went from 27-38 parts per million to as low as 1 & 2 parts per million. Almost no wear metals after using our products ! We have similar products for Automatic transmissions that reduce slipping, quiet, and smooth transmission. Manual trans., differentials, power steering, fuel systems, etc.

I saw a comment or two about $50 price for engine. Note that one treatment lasts for 60,000 miles ! What is $10 a year to protect your $4000 engine ? "

As I already told I squeezed two tubes of power steering gel into the hydraulic system and 3 tubes of the diesel engine treatment to the engine. I expected the rise in idle speed which has not happened. According to several people they had to down regulate idle speed shortly after using the gel. I also have not noticed any major changes in the suspension. The stop light which came on sometimes after the start up has disapeared but today when I let the car to idle long time at the bottom position and then I moved the lever to the central position I saw the "stop lihgt" again. Also one peculiar thing I noticed in the morning was that the front end crawled up first after the start up. Usually the back end rises faster. I think that when the engine treatment is complete( after 3000 km) I am going to get the car dynoed in order just to see how much horses it produces compared to nominal 66kw.

Please show/tell me HOW a ceramic "bonds" to iron or an alloy of aluminium.
I would like to see the electron microscope images of the particulate matter in close proximity/bond layer please.
I assume the ceramics are heavier than the oils it is carried in, what methods do you use to prevent settling of the particulates ?

Cheers

Yes, despite being a fully subscribed member of the Mollyslip and STP users society way in the past, I have serious doubts about the credibility of this stuff.

Since I am just a simple user/tester of that product I can only copy a link of the FAQ about Xado from their homepage. Some of your questions are answered there.

Did you see that article? Is there any logic in their "simple explanation of the complexphysic"?

I did read it yes, this is why I would like to see the bond interface.
As far as I can tell it is just a soft particulate carrier with (if anything) limited effects by temporally filling defects, pressure and wash will dislodge them as they do in other similar products.
