After 25000 miles and 2 years of almost trouble-free motoring, my partner's K reg Sierra has finally bitten the dust, big time (ECU). We're now looking for a replacement car for her. She previously had a Pug 405 and liked that, and she absolutely loves my two Xantias. I'd give her the 2.0i SX, but unfortunately it's a standard 5 speed manual and she only has an automatic licence. ( And no smart alec comments about passing the test in a manual please, I've already been through that... )
Questions:
Auto Xantiae seem to be as rare as the proverbial rocking horse droppings - best place to find one?
The autobox itself - anything specific to check for etc?
What should we be looking to pay?
Criteria:
Anything newer than her existing car( 93 )
Engine size/fuel and trim level irrelevant
Budget up to £1K
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
