C5 HDi 2ltr LX 03 temperature annoyance

Post by boristhespie »

Is there anyway to get rid of low temp on display. It continually flashes when we get one of our regular cold days and is annoying as hell when all I want is the time. Is there a setting or way to turn this annoying quirk off. I'm sure I just don't know.

It shouldnt flash until it gets with in a few degrees of freezing - which is why it does it, you could disconnect it but it will upset your heater function, so if its showing the correct temperature but annoying you stick a bit of tape over it.

Yeah I know it flashes but it get cold here often and I'm fed up with having to lean foward to press button to see time. Would be better if it flashed on first starting car and then return to clock but instead it just flashes temp.

Might be better to get the display from a SX from a scrapper. Time and temperature displayed constantly on separate lines, it's just plug and play.
Mine flashes at +3~-3°C.
