what's this button
sorry for the newbie question, i'm quite good with cars and do all my own work but can't work out what the button to the left of the radio does the one with the sound icon on it.

its a C5 and standard radio, it's not a button on the radio it's just to the side of it

What vintage?
Trying to picture my older c5s, what's the icon look like? Is it a blob with waves radiating from it? If so it's for disabling interior alarm sensors.

thanks a lot, thought it was for the satnav volume to start with

Press and hold until lit and the alarm ultrasonic sensors are disabled for when you leave the dog/child/wife in the car.
