Two things I've noticed or thought about.
The engine seems very slow to pick up revs since the accident. If I press the throttle right down for a second and then lift off the engine revs don't change. It's like it's sluggish all of a sudden. It doesn't feel any slower or less powerful. It's just feels less willing. It may be my imagination but it does feel reluctant to rev from low revs.
Also, why didn't the airbag go off?
Steve.

Re: Couple of HDI questions.
When revving do you mean when standing still at idle??
The HDi does not have a direct link from throttle to fuel pump like the older TD's, so when you put your foot down the ECU needs to look at where your foot is via the throttle sensor, and then tell the pump to increase fuel pressure reference which increases the fuel in the injectors which speeds the engine up.. Theres a lot more going on.
However, if you havethis slow response while driving that could be another problem Ive not experianced that bit myself just yet.
Depends how hard the impact was and also if the air bag system was in full working order.. check lights on then going out after engine start etc..
