DS3 Starting issues

Post by MTND »

Hi All
I know we don't talk about them much but I've looked on the DS3 Club forum and not much there.
Has anyone got any thoughts on starting problems on the 120bhp DS3 where it feels like the Choke (if your old enough to remember chokes) is not being put on? Could it be the temp sensor is not saying the engine is cold? As soon as you try and start off the temp gauge says the car is hot? :? :?:

Any ideas?

Cheers

sounds like a good place to start if the ecu is getting its reading from this sensor

Hi

All fixed now, new temperature sensor and the housing. The car was reading an outside temp of 9deg and the engine temp of 101deg for a cold car in the morning    no wonder it wasn't working properly :!:

Now very happy little machine :-D 8-) 8-)
