flat spot

Post by oneday »

hi its a 2003 hdi i have a realy bad flat spot right at the start of the accelerator. when i pull away from a junction i think a snail would be faster untill the turbo kicks in then it just takes off. it drives great apart from this. has anyone got any ideas what could be causing this. or are all 2.0 hdi engines like this.

the lexia brings up no faults

I can't help with the flat spot, but I can tell you that a 2.0L HDi pulls like a train provided you use the box and torque properly. On mine, 1,200 rpm will do from a start, unless I'm in a hurry, then I'll go to 1,500 rpm.
