Hi
I am thinking of removing the dpf from my 2005 C5 2.0 hdi 138. I know I need a galletto. Cable from eBay but what else? Software etc?
Also do I need to remap or is that optional?
Thanks

I'm going down this route on mine, I believe you will get the required software with the cable on some auctions or you can download it. I got mine from http://download.xcar360.com/ecu-chip-tuning.html. You will need a file to flash to the car that has been edited to remove the DPF system, again available on ebay and the one I'm looking at is remapped for a small boost in power too. The remap is probably optional but I'm not too sure, hopefully someone else will be able to say for certain..

Re: C5 hdi 138 dpf removal
Have just had this done on my 2.2.
Car now drives spot on with loads of power and torque but turbo is now noticably louder although i've been assured this is ok.Over the past few days though i have no had a 'antipollution fault' come up which seemed to come and go but is now permanently on..not sure if it's related somehow.Anyway, for the drivability and 10% better mpg it is well worth doing.Wish i had been brave enough to do it myself.

Hi
It turns out that I can't use a galletto cable on mine (after buying one !) because my ecu (SID 803) can only be read and written to when removed from the car using something called BDM?
A bit stuck now, don't know whether I should find a specialist or check/ refill the eolys etc

That's bad luck My galletto arrives tomorrow I hope I don't have the same problem...
Had a look on ebay and maybe this is what you need... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BDM-100-ECU-C ... 23216bb281
