C5 Mark Two help

Post by citroenxm »

Hi all...

Can anyone tell me why .. THIS EXCLUSIVE HDi appears to have a lower spec inside then THIS EXCLSUIVE HDi
I can see obviously that the second one has Sat Naf, but the stereo looks much more classy and is that a DVD player??

The first one looks a bit more taky with the lower spec radio..

Looking at these, has shocked me with the price's! And the Boss likes the C5 two aswell! If these price's carry on then this is what we could be looking at next. BUT will need to be exclusive!

The other Q is have ALL Exclusives got hydraulics, or did they do the same things as the S1 C5, Exclusive and Exclusive SE as two seperate specs??..

Cheers

The lower spec looking one has the standard radio.
The sat nav was optional, and depending on year there are two sat nav options, seems to be the one shown or the myway which has a different radio again.
I think that all exclusives have the hydraulics now and its the main feature of the exclusive.

Ah Richard you have one!

So Exclusive or Exclusive SE they have hydraulics!

So I need sat nav, which I only want for the screen in the dash more then the Sat Nav itself, and the radio.. Im a gadgets man, I dont like the look of the base radio.. looks too cheap in there..

I think Ill have a look for some brochures to have a look at..

Just Exclusive, no SE on the MK2.

Quite agree, the satnav actually works very well and is much better than the ones offers by some other manufacturers (especially VAG group) also Exclusives only come with half leather seats as standard. Xenon lights, sunroof on saloon or panoramic glass roof on Tourer and front parking sensors are all option's, standard wheels are 17" (18" on V6) or for extra bling bling 19" as another option.

So full leather is another option then? As theres some with full leather...

Well, getting excited now, theres a car we like for the future now.. Yaaaay, beginning to get worried that when my Xantia hdi got to 300k Id be stuck as theres nothing after we both like a lot...

C5 1 ... Defo Not, too many niggles and issues.
Laguna 2.. DCI engine a bit delicate, as well as other things.

C6, well in reality, always will be a bit too expensive to run, expecially tyres and possibly parts if history is anything to go by..

So the C5 2 looks promising. (I know it is a C6 based car, but theres a fair few more around)

Thanks Richard

The non sat nav ones have a bright orange display like a pug 405 from yesteryear. It doesn't suit the car so well.
And most I saw when choosing mine have 17" or 19" wheels, but 16" were an option when new. I have 17".
If you like gadgets, then the Exclusive tourer has the electric tailgate. Opens from remote, closes from a button. I like playing with that.
The full leather is best as you get a massage function, heated and the electric seats have more positions/adjustments. Drivers side has two memory positions too. I have one for driving and one for laying back. Oh and the climate is also memorised, so when the mechanics have handed back the car just press a button and the chair and aircon are all back as they should be.
Electic handbrake. Thats standard on exclusive too.
I've had mine for a few weeks and love it. Apart from that orange screen!
