C5 Parking assistance system fault

Hi
I have just bought a 2005 C5 Hdi exclusive and the display shows the above error. Are there any common issues with the park assist, where do I start to fix it ?

The fault is either in the wiring or the park assist ECU. More likely it is a sensor but a diagnostic check will pinpoint the problem quickly.

The park assist ECU is located in where the spare wheel sits & can fill up with water if you have a leak in the boot, so worth checking. Most likley though it will be a duff sensor, again they usually fail due to getting moisture in them, Lexia will pinpoint the exact one but if you unplug them all & look at the pins in the sensor & the connectors you will usually see the teltale white/green residue in there.
