Suspension noises

Post by 87chopper10 »

Hi all, my Xantia klunks and knocks on both sides over rough roads and potholes. Ive replaced the front and rear wishbone bushes on either side (passenger side totally worn), but its still knocking over bumps. How can i determine whether its a ball joint or drop link or anything else for that matter. I cant seem to recreate the noise while shes up on stands.

Tyr getting someone to rock the car from side to side while you have your hand on the drop link or ball joint. You should feel the knock.

Drop links fitted today. Handy job enough. Only found out about the Allen key hole in the bolt after nearly scorching one of my brake lines. Alls working fine now no noise whatsoever thanks for the replies.
