LHM container

Post by davewithington »

Does anyone now offhand what container would have held the LHM fluid tucked behind the rubber strap in the boot of a 1993 Xantia when it was new? If you do, does anyone have whatever it is in good condition?

I have a yellow plastic 5ltr at the moment, which works well, but doesn't look good

I recall too there used to be a more rectangular Total container that was
all green and IIRC just said LHM not LHM PLUS.

A 1 litre bottle of Total LHM fits in there a perfect treat Dave... I carry one in each of my cars..

What you want really is an oblong litre tin of LHM. I've not seen one available but I know they existed years ago because many DS owners stow one in the spare wheel or make up a cradle for it in the engine bay.

I believe you're thinking of the Castrol metal tin Jim, which fits perfectly
in the 'cage' on the nearside inner wing of a GS too!

I seem to recall a rectangular tin of LHM in the GS, possibly Castrol.
