Not a lot other than raise a complaint with eBay and from what I have heard that doesn't usually go terribly well.
You could ask for a refund from PayPal for non functional goods purchased.

Didn't I see mentioned in another thread that they just need a new connecting cable which can be bought in any computer shop?

Allan, yes that is correct but as Chris has now disappeared off the face of the earth I'm somewhat confused as to what you think you or I can do to find him let alone the slim hope of getting a refund or replacement. Personally I view the loss of my own interface as one of the perils of buying a Chinese rip off of a product costing thousands more, it's the old saying of you get what you pay for.

It OK Allan, I was rather upset when my interface threw in the towel (strangely enough within a day or two of it happening to yours) I will say that dealing with Jim at Easy Diagnostics is a real pleasure whereas getting hold of the original supplier Chris was rather challenging at the best of times and caused me a fair bit of hassle and having placed orders I then had to chase him up numerous times to get him to post them which is why I stopped taking and placing further orders with him several months prior to this issue raising its head.

I don't suppose you both installed an update to diagbox around the time the interface died did you ?

By the way, is the kit supplied by Jim a different chinese knockoff to the previous kits ? Does the hardware look the same or is it quite different ?

No I didn't try any online updates until I bought the later Diagbox one from Jim.

Yes the leads are different in many ways, difficult to say about the interface without pulling it apart although on the previous one the stickers were already applied whereas on Jim's one its diy stickers.
