Mike,

Got to say this is a new one on me, and I've had 2 of them. It puzzled me that much that I went outside to look at mine and I have nothing on the A Pillars, either inside or out. to say I'm curious would be an understatement. Pictures would help

A quick way of telling if the engine is a 2.2 is that the car has a fixed spoiler, whereas the 2.7 has a speed sensitive spoiler. Unless of course it's a 3.0 petrol, in which case it's a rare beast indeed.

This picture show you both, the one in the foreground is a 2.7 whilst the one in the background is a 2.2

Hi there,

I echo trainmans sentiments, nothing of the sort on my C6, superloopy. Again, had to double check, even though I know the car inside out after 3 years!

Has to be a mod, methinks!

Agreed. I just can't see how one can reconcile these two things: a person going through the process of acquiring a C6 and then going onto the later process of sticking numbers on the side of it.

Was it sprayed orange, and the doors welded shut, per chance?

Most strange, why would you number your car, maybe part of a fleet?

If It was on the wheelarches I could semi-understand it, something tyre pressures (like they do on vans) but they are 2.3bar. As for it being a fleet car, That's also something I've never heard of 8-[

There is a C6 Taxi in Newcastle, ive seen it twice. They seem to like their Citroens up there, still have a lot of original shape C5 Taxis too.

I've never seen anything like it, or in fact heard of it either, really strange! I did wonder if somebody was 'badging' it up. 3.7 instead of 2.7 (shrugs shoulders), it's got me really puzzled.

Yes, I reckon some sort of fleet or group identification, possibly in a situation where it's easier to identify the cars from side-on (like being bumper-to-bumper for celebrity chauffering outside a posh event).

Or is the driver's nickname ET?
