Hello. I can't find any info how to check oil level in my c8 auto gearbox (al4 20ts15). Any help? please.

You will observe under the transmission, a "bolt inside a bolt".
When the transmission oil is about 60°C and engine idling with gearbox in Park position, place a small container under the transmission and loosen the smaller bolt of these two. I think it's a 17mm head. A very few drips should come out only. Refit the bolt and tighten firmly - not excessively tight.
If no drips come out, you need to remove the filler plug on top (8mm square recessed head) and add 500ml of fluid. Do this with the motor turned off, or it will get messy! After a ten minute drive, again test the oil level from underneath as before. Once the oil has slowed to a drip every few seconds, refit the bolt and you are finished.
Make sure to use a compatible oil, many are not suitable.

Re: AL4 20TS15
Hi. Addo, thanks for the reply. I'm afraid that with C8 there must be other way to do it Instead of "bolt inside a bolt" I have a drain plug.
Re: AL4 20TS15
That plug looks like it’s too high up the side to drain the box.
My trick for checking the level is to open the filler plug and look inside.
If the works are dry, it needs topping up.
If you see oil, there’s enough of it.
