Is this a sinker? I ask as it may have a distinct bearing on why it does this...

The steering will be very stiff whenever the engine isn't running as there's no accumulator for the steering circuit.

Cleaning the filters would be a good idea - be VERY GENTLE with them because the plastic gets brittle after years of being immersed in warm oil. Don't forget the hidden one?

If it hasn't been done for a while, bleeding the brakes to remove as much old (dirty yellow/brown) LHM would be a good idea. You need to take at least 300ml out of the rear callipers (do them first).

after a few start stopping the engine and take for a little spin, there is not a single problem, even the steering is light. my father said the filter should be changed because they already worn out since he had been using and maintaining it before me. so guess i should find a new one to be replaced this week. but the car is still drivable for good few weeks i guess.

The LHM filters (2) are not replaceable they have to be cleaned - search the forum for posts or read page 3 of my guide (pdf) to Replacing spheres, changing LHM and bleeding brakes.
