Hard to find Technical Data - now on the web.

Post by David Goddard »

For those of us with engines where maintenance and repair data is not published by Haynes it looks like things are changing. Peugeot have a site which provides data for their entire range of cars. With most recent Citroen engines being identical this is good news.
The site is http://public.infotech.peugeot.com
The down side is you have to pay.
I subscribed for 6 hours for 15 Euro and managed to print out some really useful data on the 3.0 24V engine and autobox used by Peugeot and Citroen - data that is simply unavailable anywhere else.
I see there is data on every engine including such aspects as:-
The partical filter and additive replacement.
Timing belt replacement.
Torque settings.
Auto gear box oil types (special fluid for electronically controlled boxes) and level.
Injector replacement.
I suspect Citroen will also be producing one - I guess it's it responce to the upcoming EU changes to open up the motor trade to more open competition.

Citroen have put their parts catalogues online, but you have to be a trade customer to access them; your local dealership has to issue login details.

allright - a misplaced extra "h" in "infotec".
The link works without the "h".
