Xantia HDi Caliper Repair Kit

Post by DHallworth »

I need a caliper repair kit for the bendix calipers fitted to the front of our Xantia HDi as the rubbers on the slides and the dust seal on the piston have packed in.

Citroen have them available but they are just over £40 each, does anyone know anywhere else I can get these from quickly that might not cost as much?

Thanks

David.

You could try Neat Car Parts, selling on ebay as user neatcarparts

They're selling caliper repair kits, and other stuff, and it's usually half the price of the main dealer.

I bought a sliding caliper repair kit from them (not for a Xantia HDi), and it was made by Bosch. I found that the Bosch repair kits had the same gaiters as the Bendix calipers on my ZX. The name was different - Bendix replaced by Bosch, but the part number embossed on the gaiter was the same - B328801.

The chap is very helpful. If you find the Citroen part number that you want, and send him the part number via ebay messaging, he'll check if he's got it, or if his supplier can get it.

The ebay adverts are usually for Peugeots, but some of the part numbers might be what you're looking for.
If you're just looking for the rubber gaiters, then there's a chance that the same gaiters can be found on Peugeot kits, and even rear caliper kits. Those B328801 gaiters seem to be very common, for example.

Here's one of their adverts:-

Here's some info I found, in a previous post:-

Can you still read the numbers on your Bendix gaiters?
What's the Citroen part number that you want for the sliding caliper repair kit?
Is it for vented or solid discs?
