Hi I have a CD Changer to add to my 2006 C8. It has the Clarion RD3 standard head unit and I am connecting the stock Clarion changer. I haven't got the cable as yet to try it, but having read some threads, it seems that the Radio has to be programmed to open up the Changer port to enable it to work with the radio/display. Is this really the case? Seems like a good way of a dealer making money. If this is true and it needs doing, I don't fancy paying a dealer for it. Is there anyone local to me (Nottinghamshire) that is an independent specialist or has access to Lexia?
Thanks in advance
