Fuel filter O ring

Post by 456eec »

Hi
I'm a new member from Australia with a 2006 C5 Estate 2.2 HDI.
I'm looking at doing a fuel filter change and see they are very economical on eBay from the UK as the 2.2 is fairly unusual here. All the information I've looked at says to replace the O ring in the filter unit. Does it come with the filter and if not where do you get them from when you buy a new filter?
I have the Haynes manual which doesn't cover the 2.2. Does it have a different fuel filter unit to the 2.0 DOHC or can I use the same instructions? Does it have the same method of bleeding?

Thanks
Justin

This depends on the type of engine you have fitted. The early 2.2 shares the same fuel, filter as the 2.0.
I would have thought your engine would be the later version. We could do with a pic of the engine or some numbers to go on.
No doubt a few people here will tell you all you need to know.
