Which model Malcolm? The old one?

naaa Jim hunny
its the DIS LEXIA 3 which seems to me to never have worked properly since purchase,
even with itt being installed on a clean laptop and fresh installation of XP
it reads faults then dosent do anything when click on any of the faults listed as my DIS LEXIA 2 used to

Re: who'z brave enough
You can compare it with others at the Rally and see if they do the same sort of things Malcolm.
I find mine is virtually perfect but even though, I still prefer my ELIT on the MK1 Xantias and XMs.
Seems to me the older the car the worse Lexia 3 is. The newer the better... My main observations is mine has great difficulty in reading Xantia Climate ECUs and locks up after doing a 4HP20 reinitialisation... It locks up somewhere else but I can't recall where now.
I do know on say a C5 and a Picasso it is absolutely as good as gold...
Oddly, it does a MK1.5 XM well but I have a sneaky suspicion it finds spurious faults in the Engine and ABS ECUs that the ELIT doesn't.

Re: who'z brave enough
mine goes into things just as far on C5's and Pisssscasssooos as it does on the likes of XANT's

Re: who'z brave enough
We had a go on my XM with the 30 pin connector and we could get into the detailed fault information on the faults that had it available. As far as I know, he didn't get around to trying it on a Xant.

Re: who'z brave enough
as Kev said we used his XM as a guinea pig with the 30 pin plug, and it performed as it should,
whether this was something Kev had altered in the start up???? or not its all a mist-icl science to me

Re: who'z brave enough
Malc, I'll have a gander at it when I come over on Thursday to fix my estate's electrics. I could have done a comparison with mine, if the laptop had not got roasted , along with quite a few of the leads!
John, I should have another Lexia soon, so I'll be a bit nearer, if you are still living on the borders.

Current ride: Citronut's Grottmobile: Thanks, Malc!
