I recently had this on my Doblo Jtd , I was told by two garages to give it a blast down the motorway . It did work . I only do small mileage back & forward to work which doesn't help . I really hate these Dpf's , my previous doblo didn't have one and ran better for it .

I previously had a C5 2.2Hdi and that used to come up continuosly with the anti pollution fault warning . They just don't like plodding around town . My doblos engine management light is on all the time , it runs better after a run on the motorway . Has yours done much mileage and does it do most of its running in town ?

according to the hand book you just need to drive above 40 mph till the warning goes out so a run at 70 should be ok

The usual recommendation is to run it for twenty minutes at 4,000 revs. once thoroughly warmed up
It may (should) go into regeneration mode and turn on everything electrical to load the engine.
If it does (and even if it doesn't) you should carry on for the full time as if it doesn't complete it will just try again later.
Have a full tank as it uses loads of diesel doing this.

You may find the car feels strange while regenerating* as if it does go into regeneration mode it injects diesel into the exhaust manifold to increase the exhaust temperature. The car may shudder and will probably emit loads of black smoke for quite a while.
A guy I work with found this, he thought there was some kind of engine failure at first then realised what was happening and continued. His car was much better for it afterwards.

Forced regeneration using a Lexia is even worse. It has been known to melt the tarmac under the car and melt the plastic bumpers of cars parked behind.

Once done the car should drive better and be more economical.

*regenerating the particle filter, not regenerating like The Doctor does.

I took mine out the other day on a regen run. I went up the M6 for about 30 miles at 70+ in fifth gear so about 2500 revs.

I didn't see any smoke etc but the car is now much betterto drive with more pull and acceleration.

keep this one to youself (lol) get youself 1l of Eolys fluid and put it into half a tank of fuel and give it a motorway run - no need to trash it just sustained speeds above 40.

but like i say dont tell anyone else because this does work wonders and the garages wont be happy!

At between 80k and 120k the fluid starts running out and filter blocks , long term fix is either

fill with Eolys and reset counters / wash out filter ,replace and tell car it has had a new filter with Lexia ,

or remove filter and get DPF remap .
For what we are about to receive may we be truly thank full.

Hi folks,i have tried to regenerate the c5 on long drive over 70 mph,it drives fine but the warning is still displaying every time u start car up and service light remains on,looks like the particle filter is goosed,no way i can afford 1000 quid to replace it,looks like it needs to be put up for sale now :(
