Everything works, well apart from the clock which resets itself every now and again. Just had the rear corner spheres and front accumulator changed today so now it drives lovely.

Very pleased indeed.

Very much so, I thought I'd be lamenting the loss of the ZX. But this is a fitting replacement :-D

Very good :-D A new set of number plates will really improve the looks. That's just me but I always feel a tatty set of plates really seems to detreact from a lovely car..

Rattiva used to reset her clock very occasionally. Never worked out why...

Agreed, conveniently the previous owner was a caravanner so I have a brand new rear plate in the boot, just needs a couple of holes. I do sometimes wonder why we don't use nice pressed aluminium plates as standard like the yankees, cost I suppose...

Anyone with a vinyl cutting machine and the pieces of perspex can make the ones here.

Well I suppose they need some sort of official licence or something

Careful how you drill those holes, it's quite easy to get star cracks around them. In fact it's quite common to use a sort of foam double-sided tape instead.

Im going to get some pressed aluminium plates for my Activa, when I get around to it. In the Uk font of course, but if the law didn't stand in myt way I would prefer French font

You are now is supposed to use those pads of double-sided tape to make it impossible for a criminal to unscrew your plates and transfer them to another vehicle. If you pull off plates stuck on with the proper pads, the pads plus some of the reflective backing and lettering stay stuck on the car, ruining the plates and making them a dead give-away - "I'm a stolen vehicle".

My early '96 sx estate was still on its original spheres when I bought at 11 years old with 67k on the clock. However, one blew about 6 months later so I changed all 6, transforming the ride.
