hi only had this c5 2003 2,0 hdi vtr fot two weeks but after driveing a 2001 xsara for a few years it seems to have a lot of movement on the peddle before it responds. can anyone tell me where it is possitioned and is there anyway to adjust it or is it a case of fit a new one thanks in advace for any help

If its the accelerator pedal you are referring to, there is a slight delay in response because its an electronically controlled engine, whether you can adjust the position I'm afraid I don't know but I am sure someone who does will be along soon.

hi its not the delay its the movement in the peddle before anything happens 1 to 2 inches of peddle movement before anything will happen. i know on the xsara its on the bulkhead and you just remove the slack from the cable. the problem is i cant find this one. thanks for your help

I think the 2.2 mk1 was under the airbox and often needed slack taken out. 2.0 might be the same.
A garage did mine as I got scared trying to take out the airbox. Took them 5 mins I think

thanks just been in engine bay noticed a cable under the thr fuse box behind the air box. job for the weekend i think. thanks anyway

Just had mine adjusted and the difference is amazing.

anything less than 2inch of useless free play on the throttle would be great

There shoult only be 1/16" ideally.
I didn't do my own, it was done along with a pile of other things for the MOT.

just took the slack out of the throotle cable. what a differance lifted the peddle about an inch. now when i put my foot down it realy goes
