Hi all, Im new to the group as I have just brought my first citroen, a 2001 1.8 picasso. It drives lovely and all th dials seem to be doing what they should be but I have noticed the fan comes on within the first two mins of starting the car and it seems to run all the time, the temp display fine. I wondered if this is normal for a picasso or is something wrong.
Thanks for any help

Re: Picasso fan question
Did you try it with the air conditioning off? It will run all the time if it is on.
Re: Picasso fan question
I have had the A/C off.
Re: Picasso fan question

Re: Picasso fan question
Thanks, I'll try changing it and see if it makes any difference.
Re: Picasso fan question
pull the plug off the sensor see if it does it then. could be dirty contacts/ but dont run aroun with it disconected better to over cool than not cool at all.

Ok thanks, I will try that in the morning.
Re: Picasso fan question
I disconnected to temp sensor this morning and as soon as I did the fan came on and the dash was beeping and telling me it was overheating, I plugged it back in and the dash went back to normal but it still does the same, the rad fan comes on within two mins of starting the car and does not go off till the engine is switched off.
Re: Picasso fan question
When the air flow is set to demist the windscreen, it will turn on the air conditioning, and also the cooling fan.

Re: Picasso fan question
The airflow has not been set to demist the windscreen.
