Re: front tyres wearing on the inside xsara 02
both front tyres wearing on the inside is usually caused by toeing out

tracking out adjust track rods,
hope you find a garage that actually know how to do the job correctly, as going by threads on here it sounds like the average tyre shop/garage have forgoten how to adjust tracking,
they mostly seem to adjust one side only ( WRONG ) it must only be adjusted equally both sides,

Yes, almost certainly a tracking problem, you might not notice the car pulling to one side. It tends to work its way out over time, usually always toeing out as the wheels get knocked back by bumps.
As Malcolm says, go to a good garage who has all the idea, many do just adjust one side which leaves you with a steering wheel no longer in the straigh position.

Re: front tyres wearing on the inside xsara 02
I'd go for too much toe out. I have also found that small local garages are better and cheaper when it comes to tracking. My local guy charges £10 and knows what he is doing. I think some national chains are now charging up to £30 and can be very hit and miss.
Re:
it can very seldom be due the worn/soft arm bush's, but this doesnt usually cause identical wear both sidesaddo wrote:This usually occurs because of ageing/looseness to the wishbone bushes. All other parts are metal and should not change...
