Lexia help anyone?

Post by Gibbo2286 »

I bought one of these through the offer in the "Lexia group discount through moderator?" thread, I've found it impossible to validate, I asked Richard for help and he said "later" as he was busy with his Olympic commitments, haven't heard from him since.

I've just spent (wasted) another couple of hours installing it on a clean laptop and going through all the set up rigmarole again but still cannot get the damned thing to validate, no matter how I try I'm still getting the Error 11 message.

Any help anyone? Before I take an axe to it.

when your setting it up, and you input the version, just input v45 not V45.1.2 (or whatever)

Yep, done all that so many times now I can practically do it with my eyes shut trainman, the only thing I can think is that the numbers on the disc are no longer valid, still waiting for Dickie G to respond, I can't ask the supplier directly because I've no idea who he is..

Hi Gibbo,

I've installed it on several laptops now and plan to do another soon (can't shift an obstinate pw'd Linux instal) but can't remember using using any disc numbers. From what I do remember it used a prog that looks similar to a loader prog to generate code from your machine's ID. This was then put back into the Lexia validation run.
And I know that sucking eggs is involved here, but you have put the txt file direct on to the C: drive?
