P/Filter?

P/Filter?
2001 2.0 HDi LX. Would this have a particle filter? I cannot see any filler point below the bung under the driverside rear seat. If I drive off cold and press the pedal a bit too hard the engine management light comes on. If I then stop remove key, start, rev >3000 RPM, stop remove key start, stop remove key start it then clears. (sometimes rev limited other times not). I am looking to buy a code reader and if I can then I will give any codes that come up.

Re: P/Filter?
No, no particle filter on that model/year.
See if there is a Lexia wielder near you for a diagnostic and a look at a dedicated code reader.

Re: P/Filter?
Thanks for the reply. Already done that and there is not one near. Is there anything physical I can look for such as filler point for the fluid reservoir?

Re: P/Filter?
You would have to look long and hard as there isn't one.
No DPF, no Eolys fluid.
A Snap-On code reader will chuck up a lot of engine fault codes and may guide you to the fault but they are nowhere near as thorough as a Lexia.

Note to self: Read reply's fully.
Sorry about that. Yes I do understand and it looks like I will have to go to a main dealer to get them read for me with the associated cost

Re: P/Filter?
It would probably be better for you if you could locate a recommended Citroen specialist in your area.
Have a look in the "Recommended Garages & Services".
If you give your location then someone here may have a suggestion.

Re: P/Filter?
Again sorry. I put my location in the preceding post but forgot to put it in this one. Located just west of Cardiff, South Wales. Near to Bridgend. Will have a look at Recommended Garage now. Thanks

Just found this and thought I would share it with everyone. http://www.citroenpeugeotwales.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They will read the codes for £48 inc VAT and have all the dealer diagnostic equipment. Perhaps you may want to add it to the "Recommended Garages & Services" you mention above?

They can only be recommended by a member who has used them and had excellent service from them.ThePriest wrote:Just found this and thought I would share it with everyone. http://www.citroenpeugeotwales.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you use them then by all means add a post to the forum describing your experiences.
