Hello all,
I have a 2003 C5 2.2 HDI Auto. It has covered 168,000 miles and drives really well, I commute from my home in West Yorkshire to Liverpool on a daily basis and love the comfort and practicality etc etc.
One problem though........Last night I was on the M62 with the cruise control set to 75mph. I had been driving for about an hour. The engine died and restarted all in the space of about 1 - 2 seconds (without me touching anything). As you can imagine, I had a brown trouser moment, but she seems to be fine and the rest of the journey was faultless. There were no error messages displayed and there are none this morning.
I'm thinking along the lines of fuel starvation and have read accounts of lift pumps in the fuel tank failing. I will also check out the filters etc,
Has anyone else expereinced this type of fault?
C5 - Off.....then on!
