The advert says it is a 110 in which case it will be FAP'd. Ask if the Eolys has been refilled, and if the filter has been cleaned. Looks a bit cheap for a 1.6 110 HDi to me....

Thanks for your reply Richard, I have just spoken to the dealer who was not much help I think he said between his grunts that he did not know, ring back in 30 mins and he will find out, I was not impressed with his attitude. I am after a Picasso for my son but do not want the DPF, which of these engines did not have it, I have seen this discussed on here before but cannot find the posts, I find the search engine difficult to use.

No DPF on the 2.0HDi or the 90 BHP 1.6 HDi (most 1.6s are 90). There's loads about - avoid anything that gives you a bad feeling! Check the sills under the front door - there is a design or construction fault that means they can rot out from the inside.

Thanks most sincerely for your help Richard, I was ripped off with my last purchase, the C5 is looking and running good now with most of the jobs done but paid too much for it. I am sure I saw a post that part of the vin indicated whether it had DPF but I cannot locate the posting.

I can't be 100% , but don't think any Picasso has dpf, just a passive filter.
There are far worse things to go wrong than that anyway .
You need to check clutch and dual mass flywheel, for ANY noise or slippage, at least £750 to repair.
A/c must work, lots of possible leaks.
Check for leaks from the injectors, can be tricky to remove injectors.
Oil must have been replaced regularly, be worried if its just had a turbo replaced.
Look inside the oil cap, check or heavy sludge build up .
The 1.6 hdi is by fa r the best performer, but also the most delicate engine, they cost a fortune to repair, any of these problems, then walk away.
