Bulb blown on main dashboard display

Post by CaptainCoddy »

Hi all,
I have a 2002 Xsara Picasso. One of the dashboard bulbs has blown.
Is it safe to replace the bulb without disconnecting the battery?
The reason i ask is i haven't got the radio code :(

It is safe, however, you don't need a radio code, the radio is unique to your car and has the chassis number imprinted in the workings.
The chassis no can be changed with Lexia, if you want to fit a used radio or CD player
