Air con Compressor

I am getting a sort of hollow ringing noise when I use the air con on my 2008 C5 III Tourer. It is getting louder and is loudest in 1st and 2nd gears. Could it be the bearings in the compressor and if so can they be repaired / replaced or is a new one the only answer ?

Is the noise inside the car ? the system makes a noise like this when it needs regassing

Yes it does seem to be more noticable from inside the car than outside.

Had the system serviced today. The noise has gone and it is so much colder, thanks Lighty.

Glad you got it sorted, I fogot to come back on this one, the low gas makes the system noisy.
