C5 Alloy Wheel Key/Adapter

Post by wigelywoo »

Does anyone know where I can get an alloy wheel adapter from.
Just had a tidy out and it's not where it should be.

what type of locking nut is it?
if it's McGuard you need the documentation that came with it originally to order another one.
if you contact McGuard i think they are able to identify the pattern needed from a photograph too.

The bolt has 3 holes in it and the adapter has 3 pins.

That is not a Citroen key, I reckon you will need to extract them in the brute force mode :(

how big are the pin holes?
the only bit of sideways thinking i have at the moment is to use some steel bar of the right diameter to put into the holes and then use a ring spanner as a lever to turn the nut, basically put the ring over one of the rods and turn with the other rod against the neck of the spanner.

you could try some of the tyre garages I have heard from others experience that may have the right tools to remove locking nuts if you dont have the key ,ight be worth getting them all taken out and replaced with new ones with a key sooner rather than latter incase of a puncture
