2002 c6 v6 poor throttle response

Post by simonr23 »

my car has a very wierd throttle. from standstill the initial 1/3 of travel barely makes a difference to throttle position. sort of like a logarithmic potentiometer. maybe this first 1/3 of travel equates to 10% throttle opening. is this just a trait of this model, or does my car have something wierd going on?

to add, tonight my car displayed the antipollution fault, and briefly the catalytic fault(this one didnt come back during 7 restart/drive cycles) and was very rough for the first 15 or so seconds from cold start. but soon cleared up and drove fine, but with the antipoll fault all the time. no other faults/glitches were present. i hadnt started the car for several days. i'm assuming that there is a dying coilpack. possible that the centre cat is blocked? my car seems to perform well and fuel use is what i'd expect(10-11l/100km(28-24mpg)) with an average speed of 38pkh/24mph.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.
