Very common with car parts, buy parts from Jaguar if you really want annoying anomalies, I had a V12 and wanted to buy fuel injector seals but Jaguar only sold them in packs of five, great thinking for a manufacturer who at the time only made 6 or 12 cylinder engines

That might be just the UK. When I wanted some larger injectors for my Saab 900 T16, the ones I'd been recommended by the experts were the same as the ones ued in the first of the new model Mustangs. They were way, way cheaper in the USA. They only sold them in packs of 8, but were happy to split a box open and just send me four.
