Picasso 1.6 HDi Exclusive.

Post by jcdel »

Just swapped my beloved Xantia 2.0 HDi for this and on collecting, was quite satisfied.88 miles down the road and I have an injector chuffing and a stink and half coming into the cab.It is under warranty albeit a short one.Is it a stinker to do my own repair or can I expect problems.Once again, any advice appreciated.

Not too bad to change, but you will need a reamer to clean the head up, and a special tool to remove the copper washer.
Personally I would pay someone to do it, as the tools will cost as much as the repair. You may of corse get another one leaking, so will leave it up to you.

Many thanks for that.Exactly what I was thinking.3 Cits in family from C3 thru to Picasso.Washer removal tool £31 from Amazon.I've bought the puller and adaptors plus seat cutting tool.Debbie's Tools on ebay did the best price for the seat cutting and delivered quick.A good result. Thanks again
