Sidelight bulbs C4GP (same as C5)
Realised we had a dip out on the C4 G-Picasso yesterday, and on closer inspection, the sidelamp was also out. No probs thinks I, got some W5W push ins lying about. Pop the bulb out (at least the longest part of the job is opening the bonnet!), but nooooo, it's got those stupid H6w bulbs with the offset pins a la the C5. Off to Halfords this morning, thinking I had better fix at least one of the bulbs, and nearly had to scrape my self off the floor, on finding the bulbs are £5.50 each So, anyone know of a good source of these at reasonable price?

Risky. Tried a set of Ebay LEDs in my C5 last year and they both lasted less than 40 minutes (they just melt from the headlight bulb heat).lurchy666 wrote:go leds they are just as cheap as the bulbs from halfords but will last probbably longer than you'll have the car,
I've also tried Halfrauds and motor factors H9Ws and they usually last less than a couple of months - given you need to take the front bumper bar off it's a PITA. Apparently some Audis also chew through their H9W sidelights regularly.
Around 15 months ago I bought a set of Osram Ultra Life H9Ws and they both still work. Not cheap (around £9 for 2) but worth it IMHO.

never had that problem with leds in any of my cars, had them in various cars from metros, granadas and other stuff, the granadas and my last 2 xantias didnt have a problem and they were running 100 w bulbs so even more heat than 55w bulbs ( of corse the 100w bulbs are illigal on uk roads but that was the only way i could see as the 55w bulbs were useless)
