Post by mattdehat »

1. i changed the rear trailing arm bearings .no problem
2.i noticed the rear was fluctuating before it settled, done all the usual.ie.jumping on towbar citrobotics ect.still a small problem.
3.took it to an auto electrician to be reset with a lexia to get a call off him saying he cant do.same problem
4.got car back, and now have a car that has now got all suspension warning lights on the dash and i cant manually lower or raise height via centre console.big problem.
5.lexia reads error code p3551 broken wire or bad earth .it didnt have this problem before .big problem
6.i have also replaced rear height sensor to no avail
any ideas and help on how to cure would be really appreciated.thanks for looking

I want to do this job (the bearing change that is) on mine soon, so I'm intrigued. The height adjusters aren't just mechanical devices like on the Xantia are they? They're pots, so could it not just be that one of those wires did take a hit during the work?
Next step would be to locate the wires back to check it, but I reckon you've already looked - weather being well I want to make a start in mine tom afternoon / weekend and I could take a look see if could take some readings too. I want to get my Lexia working again as well, whereabouts are you, I'm near Luton.

Can you hear the pump running when you select high? if not it is probably the 40A fuse that feeds the motor, they take a bit of a caning if lots of suspension changes are made in a short space of time.
