Lexia display

Post by Monkeyfeet »

I'm after some advice re running Lexia on a laptop with a 10" x 7.5" (25cm x 19cm for any metric types). I can't get all of the Lexia display to show on screen, so I can't get to some of the functions. I tried all of the laptop display settings, default at 800 x 600 is the best of the bunch. I've tried Lexia settings (480 x 640, in properties) and even the ecran.ini file settings for height and width do nothing. It worked fine on my HP widescreen laptop. I'ts running Tiny XP v09 so maybe I'm missing the correct display driver, the manufacturer is no help. Any cures / suggestions out there please?

That would not be enough since Lexia window requires min. resolution 1024 × 768 and it can run it in
higher resolutions without any problems.

Ta VerVega. I think I've had it with this size of screen then. If I try 1024 x 768 I lose the windows bar and still miss of most of the Lexia display, time to dig out another laptop, shame though 'cos I've two spare in this size.

I hope you'll find a suitable display for your Lexia :)
This is from mine (1650 x 1050) and Lexia user interface looks like this:

It's a Windows XP and I learned from FCF that it doesn't work in Windows 7.

browse files on C drive
locate the APP folder and browse
now open lexia folder
now open exe folder
double click ecran file and change settings from

largeur_ecran = 1024
hauteur_ecran = 768

to

largeur_ecran = 1024
hauteur_ecran = 600

close and save, then restart your diagbox, or lexia and you will find display is now showing all buttons.
For what we are about to receive may we be truly thank full.

Thanks for the replies:
Hi Birdman, just gave the ecran file another go with those settings but no go I'm afraid - unfortunately I'm still missing the lower third and rh side butons of the display.
VertVega- yes that's, more like it, I'm aspiring to that on these smaller laptops!

Oh yes, forgot to add, you're right, it won't work on Windows 7 either (maybe it would with the XP emulator though?), so I'm assuming the similar set-up of Vista would be a no-go too ( shame because I've access to another two Vista laptops).

Try this -

right click on your desktop to open up display properties. then click on

settings- advanced- monitor , then look for checkbox. ( hide modes that this monitor canot display) UNCHECK the tick box if it is ticked

then carry on to -properties- driver- update driver (tick install from list or specific location) - next ( select dont search i will choose the driver to install.)

( untick show compatible hardware) now a list should show up.

i clicked standard monitor types on first list. and on second list digital flat panel 1280x1024

then click next , the drivers will be updated.

you should now be able to just put your mouse to the top or bottom of the screen and it should auto scroll.

I have my Lexia running on XP in Virtual Box, works a treat!
