Citroen Dispatch 1.9 DW8 2006

Post by floggmolly »

I Have A 2006 Citroen Dispatch 1.9. It Shudders When Im Going Along At 70 Or 80 Km/h. It Only Happens When I Stay At That Speed, If I Keep Giving It Shoe It Doesnt Happen. I Bipassed The Tank And It Still Happened So This Told Me There Was Nothing Wrong In The Tank, I Changed The Electric Injector It Still Happened, I Changed The Injector Pump And It Still Happened, And I Bipassed The Fuel Filter Housing And It Still Happened Which Told Me There Was Nothing Wrong In There. Please Help. Any Help Is Muchly Appreciated

Firstly are you sure this is coming from the engine, if you declutch at that speed is it still there? Sounds more like wheel balance, does the engine sound as thought its misfiring, does it do it at the same revs in lower gears?

Its nothing to do with wheel balance because its a shudder or a jerk not a wheel imbalance shake..it only happens when i keep at the same speed going along at 70/80 km/h

what condition is your crank shaft pulley or any of the cam/aux tensioners/idlers,

maybe either your crank pulley is breaking up or you have a bearing failing on one of the tensioners/idlers,

It could also be a misshaped tyre too.

If you think its engine related, it should do it at the same rpm in a lower gear too I'd suspect...

although on second thoughts if it were a pulley or tensioner/idler it would be engine RPM no road speed related,
