c5 suspension leaking front left suspension

Post by dudarus1 »

in have just bought a c5 and ive notised that the suspension is leaking from the front left corner theres a flexipipe which goes ton the shock and when the suspension come all the way down it floods out of this pipe. is it a hard job to replace this pipe. also do i need to grease the shockers on this vehicle as they look abit rusty.

thanks in advance

Your car doesn't have "shocks," I think you're talking about your struts and no, you don't need to grease them.
The hydraulic pipework isn't too difficult to work with if you have ramps or axle stands.

These reservoirs don't have markings on them but as long as there's fluid in it when the suspension is at each of its different height settings then you've got enough. Personally I fill my reservoir to just above half way.
I haven't personally removed the flexi but I would imagine that you do need brake pipe spanners.
