Saxo VTR engine management light.

Post by ashy90 »

A work colleague has a Citroen Saxo VTR 1.6 and the engine managment light has recently come on, but with no obvious issues. Seems to be driving normally. What is the most likely cause of this?

There can be several reasons but first I would suspect lambda sensor or injection related.
Best solution would be to read the error code for example with Lexia. If you don't own one
then go to a Citroen/Peugeot garage where they can read and reset error code.
This doesn't cost much. If you're in UK there's a list of Lexia owners locations in the forum :)
