Xantia Driveshaft nut - 35mm??

Post by gadgetgricey »

Removing the front struts off my Xantia and realised that my socket set does not go high enough to remove the drive shaft nuts.

Done a search and looks as though its a 35mm, just wanted to get confirmation that its correct, before I order one of these

Thanks again

I am fairly sure that I have been using a 34mm socket for the XM driveshaft nuts I undid earlier this week.
I will check tomorrow.

Try 1 3/8". That's very close to spec and you may be able to borrow it off an old-schooler.

Yep, it's 35 mm. A 35 mm socket is also needed to drive the special tool which is used to unscrew the lower balljoint from the hub carrier.

(I haven't needed to remove a driveshaft nut on my XM yet, but I think it's 35 mm there as well. At least the balljoint tool works with XM, too.)
