haynes/workshop manuals

a good friend has asked me about a large collection of old haynes and workshop manuals (and owners manuals) he has - some were his own fathers and go back over 50 years....


would there be much interest in them? theres motorbike (old suzuki and bsa) ones as well some gems i`ve seen , vanden plas 1300 owners manual , ford poplar autobook and triumph 2000 workshop manul (in a blue folder)

They sell well and end up with the right people.

I too had a large collection like that, I sold a lot of them on Ebay but the ones for what you'd call bread and butter cars are not worth much. classic Jag, BMW and the like often fetch more than the new Halfords price, Escorts and Cortinas won't find a buyer at all.

I gave all my 90 or so remaining ones away on Freecycle to a car booter just to be rid of them.

he`s asked me if i can sort them out - will have to take a row of seats out of the 806 to get them in the back - hillman hunter? avenger? citroen DS? mk 1 , 2 and 3 escort.... theres quite alot of various books here

I'd suggest you take advantage of the Ebay free listing days.

Anything you think might be special keep separate and set a higher start price, the ordinary stuff you'll need to judge for yourself by putting their titles in the Ebay search box and seeing how many are being offered and if they're getting bids.
