C5 Wash/wipe

I'm compiliong the list of issues I need my mechanic to look at in my new car and have another question if you will indulge me, and thanks once again for helping a newbie. This one should be easy enough to answer...

The front wash/wipe gives me a lovely spray across both sides of the windscreen, but the rear one is a bit less impressive, with the water just coming down in one spot and not spraying across the wipe area of the window. It means that the wiper will sometimes leave streaks of grime which haven't been properly removed.

Is this normal?

Pretty well, There is no way you can really spray a rear screen, the water would just get sucked away from the glass in the slip stream. Streaks though may well be due to a knackered wiper blade, they don't seem to last long without getting some nicks and high spots.

If yours is an estate, and I think it is, then you should have more luck using it when driving along as it will get sucked onto the rear window - hence the rear window always suck up much on the flat backed car. If its not spraying well near the window you can always get a pin and reposition the spray until its where you want it. I find our esta eones works well.

The hatch I have however, Its adjusted so that when the car is stationary it works well, but use it when im driving and the car behind gets a soaking and mine stays dry Still, its a saloon style body so the rear windows doesnt really get too mucky, but the rear wiper is excellent to have, I miss it in our earlier C5 saloon.
