Well, Ive had my C5 2L HDI (59 plate) for a few weeks now and very happy with it.
Its taken me this long to get on a road where i could get my foot down and Ive notoced that theres a 'buffeting' at around 80-85 mph. The steering wheel doesnt shake, indicating wheel imballance, but its noticeable. Theres no loose trim, the bonnet catch is tight.
Any thought please?

Re: C5 Buffeting at speed?
Do you feel the buffeting as a sensation through the car or is it just a noise?
It could be imballanced rear wheels, if you feel the vibration through the seats but no the steering wheel.

Re: C5 Buffeting at speed?
Thanks for the quick reply!
The rear wheels sounds pretty plausible.I'll get them checked out.
I can feel it but it also feels like the sensation you get when a window is partialy open at high speeds.

Re: C5 Buffeting at speed?
Can you pinpoint the noise to a particular area? Could well be a poorly fitted door seal.

Re: C5 Buffeting at speed?
I have something similar on my Xantia and it is the door trim rubber, sounds like the door is not closed properly and starts at 70mph ish.
I can see on mine the rubber trim has been damaged by people getting in and out. This has put a hole about 25cm long in the tubular bit of rubber which is part of the inner door trim. I will replace it when I have time.
Could be you have something similar, as has been said it may not be torn just not making contact correctly from inner to outer ?
